MENTAL ILLNESS AWARENESS WEEK, OCTOBER 6-12

In 1990, Congress established the first full week of October as Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) in recognition of NAMI’s efforts to raise mental illness awareness. Since then, mental health advocates across the country have joined NAMI in the effort to educate the public about mental illness. NAMI MN has prepared the attached handout of Crisis and Mental Health Resources.  Please feel free to distribute widely. You may help save a life in more ways than one.
